To get a Washington driver’s license, an applicant must pass both the written/ knowledge and skills/drive test.

The Department of Licensing authorizes BAL DRIVING SCHOOL to provide the WA State Written and Skills test.

• To take a test with us, the applicant must either visit a DOL office to provide the necessary documents and get a WA ID number or pre-apply online.

• If you have newly moved to this state and have never been issued a WA ID or driver’s license before, you must pre-apply first. Bring that number when you come to take your test. You must have that number so we can put your score into the DOL database.
